Steps to Integrate Slack with AlarmsOne:
You can integrate Slack with AlarmsOne and use Slash commands to post an alarm in AlarmsOne. Follow the below steps to learn how to integrate Slack with AlarmsOne.

Steps to follow in AlarmsOne:
1. Click on Applications icon in the left panel.
2. Click on Add Application. Here, select Slack under Inbound applications.
3. Fill in the Application Label (e.g. Slack Slash) and enter a dummy verification code (Ex 123456). Verification code will be generated only after you create your app in Slack.
4. Click Add. A webhook URL will be generated.
Steps to follow in Slack:
1. Log in to your Slack account.
2. Goto https://api.slack.com/apps
3. Click Create New App.
4. Enter the app name (ManageEngine AlarmsOne) and choose the development Slack workspace and click create new app.
5. Under Basic Information tab, click Slack Commands and then click Create New Command.
6. Enter the command name (e.g. alarmsone), request URL (URL generated in AlarmsOne), short description (e.g. Send alarms to AlarmsOne) and usage hint (e.g. Incidents), and click Save.
7. Now install your app to your workspace.
8. In the App Credentials, copy the verification token.
Steps to follow in AlarmsOne:
1. Click on Applications icon in the left panel.
2. Select the added Slack application and click edit.
3. Paste the copied Verification code and click Save.
How to create an alert using slash command:
1. Goto your Slack chatroom and enter " /alarmsone " followed by your message.
2. This message will be created as an alert in AlarmsOne.
3. The severity of the alarm is set as 'Warning' and the entered message is displayed as the 'Display name'.
4. You can use Alarm Modifier to change the severity and content of the alerts that are created using Slack slash command.
