AlarmsOne's OnPremise poller is available for Windows and Linux environments. Following are the steps to install the On-Premise Poller on the client machine.
Windows Installation:
Double click on the installable file downloaded and accept the licensing terms & conditions.
In the subsequent steps, you will be prompted for the API Key, which is required to register the poller in AlarmsOne.
You can find the API key for your account by clicking on Show API Key inSettings.
Once the API Key is provided, input the Proxy server credentials (if proxy is present on the network) for the poller to communicate with AlarmsOne.
Once the installation is complete, goto Services Window andsearch for the service name 'Alarm Poller'and start the service to register your poller with AlarmsOne service.
Linux Installation:
Download the binary file and execute the binary as follows on the client machine (./AlarmPoller_64bit.bin -i console).
In the subsequent steps, you will be prompted for the API Key, whic is required to register the poller in AlarmsOne.
You can find the API key for your account by clicking on Show API Key inSettings.
Once API Key is provided, input the Proxy server credentials (if proxy is present on the network) for the poller to communicate with AlarmsOne.
Once the installation is complete, navigate to <Alarm_Poller_Path/> and start the poller by executing the command (sh StartServer.sh) and register your poller with the AlarmsOne service.
Installing the Alarm Poller Using Command Line:
You can install the AlarmsOne Poller via command line by executing the bin file with the "console" option.
That is, by running ./AlarmPoller_64bit.bin -console
Access Permissions: Please make sure Write permission is enabled for the AlarmPoller folder present in the location where you have installed the Agent.
